Prince William County supports a population of approximately 280,000 residents. The majority of these folks, over twelve percent, are employed in the retail trade. Nearly as many residents, over eleven percent, are employed in the sector of professional services, the sciences, and technology. The county seat of Prince William County is Manassas, and residents here have two major metropolitan areas to choose from. Both Washington, D.C. and Arlington lie in close proximity to the area.
